An application for a Basic Assessment process will be submitted to the Northern Cape Provincial Department of Agriculture, Environmental Affairs, Rural Development and Land Reform for the proposed Kareekloof Grid Connection Infrastructure on Portion 1 of the farm Basberg 88, Portions 11, 16 & 17 of the Farm Kareekloof 85 and Portions 1, 2 & 4 of Farm 83.
It is the intention of the proponents, as a Renewable Energy Independent Power to apply for the construction of Electrical Grid Infrastructure to connect the proposed Kareekloof Solar PV and BESS Project to the National Grid. This Grid connection infrastructure will include the construction of both substation and powerline infrastructure.
